Ola - Scholar

BA (Hons) in Digital Film Production at Ravensbourne

How are you involved in Warner Bros. Creative Talent?
I have been fortunate enough to be selected as a Prince William Scholar. I’m presently in the final year of my BA degree at Ravensbourne University, studying Digital Film Production. This scholarship will offer me the best chance possible to jump-start my career.
What does it mean to you to be part of Warner Bros. Creative Talent?
To be associated in anyway with a renowned company like Warner Bros., is an exiting and surreal accomplishment to have and being a part of the Creative Talent program offers me the opportunity to be, introduced to the industry I aspire to be heavily involved with along with learning from the best. This is incredibly invaluable to me.
Which Warner Bros. character would you be and why?
As a kid, I always wondered what it would be like to be placed into the Wizarding World. I couldn’t tell you the amount of countless daydreams I’ve had growing up imagining myself playing either a game of Quidditch or dueling with another wizard from the house of Slytherin in Hogwarts.

This scholarship will offer me the best chance possible to jump-start my career.

Who do you most admire in the industry?
I draw inspiration and admire many things; they could either be other cinematographers, painting from my favourite period of art (the Renaissance era) or individual people. Recently John Boyega has inspired me a lot; he’s a young Nigerian from the same neighbourhood as me. Witnessing his journey and seeing how hardworking and humble he is, is something I truly admire and something I wish to emulate with my career moving forward.
Tell us something about yourself most people would be surprised by?
The one thing that’s always caught people off guard with me is the moment I tell them the type of movies I’m a fan of. I was never really a big admirer of gangster movies growing up or movies based around true events following crime lords. A guilty pleasure of mine has always been romantic comedies; I’ve been a fan for as long as I can remember.
